Type: kshetra
Listener: Śaunaka and other Naimiṣāraṇya ṛṣis (standard frame)
Scene: A pilgrim-sage at Prabhāsa bows to Śiva: serene yet awe-inspiring, with three luminous eyes—moon, sun, and fire—bull-emblem present; cosmic dissolution hinted as waves and dark clouds behind, while dawn light suggests new beginning.
The supreme Lord transcends birth and time, and is worthy of worship even for the highest deities—devotion aligns one with the cosmic source.
Somnātha at Prabhāsa-kṣetra, where this stotra is offered as a celebration of Śiva’s supremacy.
Namaskāra (reverential bowing) and stotra-recitation in praise of Śiva’s attributes (unborn, trinetra, bull-emblem).
