तस्य तुष्टो महादेवो वयसोऽन्ते वरं ददौ । परितुष्टोऽस्मि ते मंके ब्रूहि किं करवाणि ते
tasya tuṣṭo mahādevo vayaso'nte varaṃ dadau | parituṣṭo'smi te maṃke brūhi kiṃ karavāṇi te
Mahādeva berkenan kepadanya lalu menganugerahkan suatu kurnia pada penghujung hayatnya: “Wahai Maṃke, Aku benar-benar berpuas hati denganmu. Katakanlah—apakah yang harus Aku lakukan untukmu?”
