ईश्वर उवाच । ततस्तस्यास्तु संजज्ञे भर्तृशापेन तेन वै । यमश्च यमुना चेयं प्रख्याता सुमहानदी । तृतीयं च सुतं जज्ञे श्राद्धदेवं मनुं शुभम्

Īśvara bersabda: Kemudian, sesungguhnya kerana sumpahan suaminya itu, dia melahirkan Yama dan Yamunā ini, yang termasyhur sebagai sungai agung. Dan sebagai putera ketiga, dia melahirkan Manu yang mulia, dewa yang memerintah upacara śrāddha.
