ब्राह्मणाय प्रदातव्यं श्रोत्रियाय महात्मने । विष्णुना हि पुरा पृष्टं ब्रह्मणः स्तोत्रमुत्त्मम्
brāhmaṇāya pradātavyaṃ śrotriyāya mahātmane | viṣṇunā hi purā pṛṣṭaṃ brahmaṇaḥ stotramuttmam
Ia hendaklah diberikan kepada seorang Brāhmaṇa—yang terpelajar dalam Veda dan berhati agung. Kerana pada zaman dahulu, Viṣṇu pernah bertanya tentang stotra Brahmā yang unggul ini.
