Type: kshetra
Listener: Sāmba
Scene: Sūrya (or the divine authority in the scene) lays down a strict injunction to Sāmba: never look upon Viṣṇu’s wives nor remain in their presence—an ethical boundary following promised healing.
Self-restraint and respect for marital boundaries are presented as essential dharma, preventing downfall and renewed suffering.
Although a moral injunction, it is delivered within the Prabhāsa-kṣetra Māhātmya context where transformation accompanies pilgrimage and devotion.
A behavioral vow-like injunction is given: avoid looking at or standing in the presence of Viṣṇu’s wives.
