ईश्वर उवाच । शृणुष्वावहिता भूत्वा तस्य यच्छापकारणम् । दुर्वासानाम भगवान्ममैवांशसमुद्भवः
īśvara uvāca | śṛṇuṣvāvahitā bhūtvā tasya yacchāpakāraṇam | durvāsānāma bhagavānmamaivāṃśasamudbhavaḥ
Īśvara bersabda: “Dengarlah dengan penuh perhatian, akan Kukhabarkan sebab sumpahan itu. Ada seorang resi mulia bernama Durvāsā, yang lahir daripada sebahagian hakikat-Ku sendiri.”
