सूत उवाच । एतस्मिन्नंतरे विप्रो वसिष्ठो लज्जयान्वितः । ज्ञात्वा दत्तं वृथा शापं तस्य भूमिपतेस्तदा
sūta uvāca | etasminnaṃtare vipro vasiṣṭho lajjayānvitaḥ | jñātvā dattaṃ vṛthā śāpaṃ tasya bhūmipatestadā
Sūta berkata: Pada ketika itu, brahmana Vasiṣṭha, diliputi rasa malu, menyedari bahawa sumpah kutuk yang telah diberikannya kepada raja itu ternyata sia-sia.
