Skanda Purana — Nagara Khanda, Shloka 27
कुरुष्वेति च तैः प्रोक्ते गत्वाग्नि शरणं ततः । अग्नये कव्यवाहनाय स्वाहेति प्रथमाहुतिः
kuruṣveti ca taiḥ prokte gatvāgni śaraṇaṃ tataḥ | agnaye kavyavāhanāya svāheti prathamāhutiḥ
Apabila mereka berkata, “Lakukanlah,” maka dia pun mendekati perlindungan Api (Agni). Persembahan pertama dipersembahkan dengan: “Kepada Agni, pembawa kavya, svāhā.”
