सोऽपि बालोऽथ ववृधे पिप्पलास्वादपुष्टिधृक् । अश्वत्थस्य तले तस्य वृद्धिं याति शनैःशनैः
so'pi bālo'tha vavṛdhe pippalāsvādapuṣṭidhṛk | aśvatthasya tale tasya vṛddhiṃ yāti śanaiḥśanaiḥ
Budak itu pun membesar, dipelihara oleh rasa buah pippala yang dimakannya. Di bawah pohon aśvattha itu, tubuhnya bertambah tinggi sedikit demi sedikit, dengan tenang dan beransur-ansur.
