Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 7

व्यजेष्ट शत्रून्वीर्येण प्राणं सीदीशकेशवौ । अरंस्त नीतिशास्त्रेषु तथापाठीन्महामनून्

vyajeṣṭa śatrūnvīryeṇa prāṇaṃ sīdīśakeśavau | araṃsta nītiśāstreṣu tathāpāṭhīnmahāmanūn

Dengan keberaniannya, dia menewaskan dan menundukkan musuh-musuhnya, serta memuliakan Tuhan Yang Ilahi—Īśa dan Keśava—sebagai nyawanya sendiri. Dia teguh dalam śāstra tentang tata pemerintahan, dan turut menelaah himpunan dharma agung (Manu) yang suci.
