Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 37

द्वितीये जन्मनि भवेद्ध्रदस्यानुचरोत्कटः । तथैव ब्रह्मचर्येण सोपवासो जितेन्द्रियः

dvitīye janmani bhaveddhradasyānucarotkaṭaḥ | tathaiva brahmacaryeṇa sopavāso jitendriyaḥ

Dalam kelahiran kedua, dia menjadi pengiring yang gagah dan menggerunkan bagi tīrtha tasik itu. Demikian juga dia hidup dalam brahmacarya—berpuasa serta menundukkan indera.
