ततो भुक्ते महादेवे सर्वदेवमये शिवे । पुष्पवृष्टिः पपाताशु गगनात्तस्य मूर्धनि । तस्यास्तिक्यं तु संलक्ष्य तुष्टः प्रोवाच शङ्करः
tato bhukte mahādeve sarvadevamaye śive | puṣpavṛṣṭiḥ papātāśu gaganāttasya mūrdhani | tasyāstikyaṃ tu saṃlakṣya tuṣṭaḥ provāca śaṅkaraḥ
Apabila Mahādeva—Śiva yang merangkum segala dewa—selesai menjamah, segeralah hujan bunga gugur dari langit ke atas kepala orang itu. Melihat śraddhā-nya yang tidak goyah, Śaṅkara pun berkenan lalu bersabda.
