Skanda Purana — Avanti Khanda, Shloka 34

तपोजपकृशीभूतो दिव्यं वर्षशतं किल । महाभूतैर्विघ्नकरैः पीड्यमानः समन्ततः

tapojapakṛśībhūto divyaṃ varṣaśataṃ kila | mahābhūtairvighnakaraiḥ pīḍyamānaḥ samantataḥ

Menjadi susut tubuh kerana tapa dan japa, sesungguhnya selama seratus tahun ilahi; dan dari segenap arah ia diganggu oleh makhluk-makhluk unsur besar yang menimbulkan halangan.
