लङ्कानिरीक्षणं व्यूहविन्यासश्च

नमेतूणीशयान्बाणान् सविषानिवपन्नगान् ।रामःपश्यतिसङ्ग्रामेतेनमांयोध्दुमिच्छति ।।।।

na me tūṇīśayān bāṇān saviṣān iva pannagān |

rāmaḥ paśyati saṅgrāme tena māṃ yoddhum icchati ||

“Rāma belum pernah melihat dalam peperangan anak-anak panah di dalam tabung panahku—seperti ular berbisa. Sebab itu dia mahu bertempur denganku.”
