Lay hold upon the draught-ox, the float: may it bear you forth from trouble and from blame. Mount ye this boat of Savitar; with six broad supports may we pass beyond unwisdom.
Berpeganglah pada lembu penarik, pelampung itu; moga ia membawa kamu keluar daripada kesusahan dan daripada cela. Naiklah bahtera Savitar ini; dengan enam penopang yang luas moga kita menyeberangi kebodohan (amati).
Rishi: Traditionally Atharvanic/Angirasa attribution for AV 12.2 sequences (edition-dependent).
Devata: Savitar (as conductor of safe passage) and the personified ‘boat/raft’ as instrument of deliverance.
Chandas: Triṣṭubh-like cadence (AV mixed meters; this verse scans close to triṣṭubh/jagatī tendencies depending on pada division).
Primary: vira
Secondary: adbhuta
