ऋतं वोचे नमसा पृच्छ्यमानस्तवाशसा जातवेदो यदीदम् । त्वमस्य क्षयसि यद्ध विश्वं दिवि यदु द्रविणं यत्पृथिव्याम् ॥
ṛtáṃ vóce námasā pṛcchyámānas tavā́śasā jātavedo yád īdám | tvám asyá kṣayasi yád dha víśvaṃ diví yád u dráviṇaṃ yát pṛthivyā́m ||
मी नमस्कारपूर्वक ऋत (ऋतम्) उच्चारतो आणि आशेने विचारतो—हे जातवेदस्, या (गूढ) विषयाविषयी. कारण तूच याचा स्वामी होऊन वास करतोस—दिवि (स्वर्गात) जे काही आहे, आणि पृथिव्याम् (पृथ्वीवर) जे द्रविण (संपत्ती/अस्तित्व-धन) आहे ते सर्व.
