अध द्युतानः पित्रोः सचासामनुत गुह्यं चारु पृश्नेः । मातुष्पदे परमे अन्ति षद्गोर्वृष्णः शोचिषः प्रयतस्य जिह्वा ॥
ádha dyutānáḥ pitróḥ sacā́ āsā́ ámanuta guhyám cā́ru pṛ́śneḥ | mātuṣpáde paramé ánti ṣád gór vṛ́ṣṇaḥ śóciṣaḥ práyatasyá jihvā́ ||
मग द्युतिमान (अग्नी), दोन्ही माता-पित्यांच्या सान्निध्यात, पृश्नीचे ते गुप्त व रम्य कर्म जाणून घेतो. मातृच्या परम पदात तो जवळ बसतो—गायीच्या आत वृषभाच्या प्रेरक ज्वाळेची जिह्वा; (अग्नी) सम्यक् गतीत प्रतिष्ठित झालेली तेजस्वी शक्ति.
