कुमारसम्भवः—गङ्गायां तेजोनिक्षेपः

The Birth of Kumāra/Skanda and the Deposition of Śiva’s Energy through Gaṅgā

यो न स्सेनापतिर्देव दत्तो भगवता पुरा।तप: परममास्थाय तप्यते स्म सहोमया।।1.37.3।।

yo naḥ senāpatir deva datto bhagavatā purā |

tapaḥ paramam āsthāya tapyate sma sahomayā || 1.37.3 ||

हे देव! भगवंतांनी पूर्वी आम्हाला जो सेनापती दिला होता, तोच आता परम तपाचा आश्रय घेऊन उमेच्या सहित तप करीत आहे।
