उदकूकृत्वा शिरस्ताताधौतांघ्रिर्मंचकोपरि । चिंतयत्नी भर्तृयोगं निशीथे रक्षसा हृता ॥ १८ ॥

udakūkṛtvā śirastātādhautāṃghrirmaṃcakopari | ciṃtayatnī bhartṛyogaṃ niśīthe rakṣasā hṛtā || 18 ||

डोक्याजवळ पाण्याचा कलश ठेवून व पाय धुऊन ती पलंगावर पडली; पती-संयोगाचा विचार करीत असताना मध्यरात्री राक्षसाने तिला पळवून नेले।
