चक्राद्वधमभीप्सन्वै सोऽपि मत्कर्मणि स्थितः ॥ दिने दिने विशिष्टं तु शुभं कुर्वंस्तपस्यति ॥

cakrād vadham abhīpsan vai so 'pi mat-karmaṇi sthitaḥ || dine dine viśiṣṭaṃ tu śubhaṃ kurvaṃs tapasyati ||

ചക്രവധം ആഗ്രഹിച്ച് അവനും എന്റെ വ്രതകർമ്മത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ടു; ദിനംപ്രതി വിശിഷ്ടമായ ശുഭകർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്തു തപസ്സു അനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു.
