पंचमोऽभूद्यदा ब्रह्मा सुरज्येष्ठ इति स्मृतः । कृत्तिवासेति देवस्य नाम प्रोक्तं तदाम्बिके
paṃcamo'bhūdyadā brahmā surajyeṣṭha iti smṛtaḥ | kṛttivāseti devasya nāma proktaṃ tadāmbike
അഞ്ചാം കല്പത്തിൽ, ബ്രഹ്മാവ് ‘സുരജ്യേഷ്ഠ’ എന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെട്ടപ്പോൾ, ഹേ അംബികേ, ദേവന്റെ നാമം ‘കൃത്തിവാസ’ എന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കപ്പെട്ടു।
