क्षीरिणी वापि चित्रा गौस्तत्क्षीरायद्घृतं भवेत् । तद्दौहित्रमिति प्रोक्तं दैवे पित्र्ये च कर्मणि
kṣīriṇī vāpi citrā gaustatkṣīrāyadghṛtaṃ bhavet | taddauhitramiti proktaṃ daive pitrye ca karmaṇi
പാൽ തരുന്ന—ചിത്രഗോവായാലും—അവളുടെ പാലിൽ നിന്നുണ്ടാകുന്ന നെയ്യ് ‘ദൗഹിത്ര’ എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ദൈവകർമ്മത്തിലും പിതൃകർമ്മത്തിലും അതു പ്രശസ്തമാണ്.
