ददुः शापं सुसंतप्ताः कलत्रार्थे परंतप । पततां पततां लिङ्गमेतत्ते पापकृत्तम
daduḥ śāpaṃ susaṃtaptāḥ kalatrārthe paraṃtapa | patatāṃ patatāṃ liṅgametatte pāpakṛttama
ഹേ പരന്തപാ! ഭാര്യമാരുടെ കാര്യംകൊണ്ട് അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിച്ച് അവർ ശാപം നൽകി—“നിന്റെ ലിംഗം പതിക്കട്ടെ, പതിക്കട്ടെ തന്നെ! പാപകൃത്യങ്ങളിൽ അധമാ!”
