पुलस्त्य उवाच । पुरा वृष्टिनिरोधोऽभूद्यावद्द्वादशवत्सरान् । संशयं परमं प्राप्तः सर्वो लोकः क्षुधार्दितः
pulastya uvāca | purā vṛṣṭinirodho'bhūdyāvaddvādaśavatsarān | saṃśayaṃ paramaṃ prāptaḥ sarvo lokaḥ kṣudhārditaḥ
പുലസ്ത്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു: പണ്ട് പന്ത്രണ്ട് വർഷത്തോളം മഴ പെയ്തില്ല. വിശപ്പുകൊണ്ട് വലഞ്ഞ ലോകം മുഴുവൻ കടുത്ത പ്രതിസന്ധിയിലും സംശയത്തിലുമായി.
