सर्वेषां व्रतिनां मूलं ब्रह्मचर्यमुदाहृतम् । विशेषाच्छिवभक्तानामेवं भूयो विधास्यसि
sarveṣāṃ vratināṃ mūlaṃ brahmacaryamudāhṛtam | viśeṣācchivabhaktānāmevaṃ bhūyo vidhāsyasi
എല്ലാ വ്രതങ്ങൾക്കും അടിസ്ഥാനം ബ്രഹ്മചര്യമാണെന്ന് പറയപ്പെടുന്നു, പ്രത്യേകിച്ചും ശിവഭക്തർക്ക്. അതിനാൽ നീ വീണ്ടും ഇപ്രകാരം പ്രവർത്തിക്കരുത്.
