सूत उवाच । इममर्थं पुरा पृष्टो वासवेन बृहस्पतिः । यथा प्रोवाच विप्रेंद्रास्तद्वो वक्ष्यामि सांप्रतम्
sūta uvāca | imamarthaṃ purā pṛṣṭo vāsavena bṛhaspatiḥ | yathā provāca vipreṃdrāstadvo vakṣyāmi sāṃpratam
സൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഈ കാര്യം പണ്ടുകാലത്ത് വാസവൻ (ഇന്ദ്രൻ) ബൃഹസ്പതിയോട് ചോദിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഹേ വിപ്രേന്ദ്രന്മാരേ! അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ തന്നേ ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ നിങ്ങളോട് പറയുന്നു.
