तथास्त्विति ततः सर्वेऽतिथिं प्रोचुः सुरोत्तमाः । एतस्मिन्नंतरे प्राह पुलस्त्यर्षिः पितामहम्

tathāstviti tataḥ sarve'tithiṃ procuḥ surottamāḥ | etasminnaṃtare prāha pulastyarṣiḥ pitāmaham

അപ്പോൾ സരോത്തമന്മാരായ ദേവന്മാർ എല്ലാവരും അതിഥിയോട് “തഥാസ്തു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അതിനിടയിൽ പുലസ്ത്യ ഋഷി പിതാമഹൻ (ബ്രഹ്മാവ്)നോട് പറഞ്ഞു.
