तस्य मोक्षस्त्वया देयो मद्वाक्यात्सुरसत्तम । तथेत्युक्त्वा महेशस्तं शूलाग्रात्प्रमुमोच ह । अस्थिशेषं कृशांगं च चामुण्डासदृशं द्विजाः

tasya mokṣastvayā deyo madvākyātsurasattama | tathetyuktvā maheśastaṃ śūlāgrātpramumoca ha | asthiśeṣaṃ kṛśāṃgaṃ ca cāmuṇḍāsadṛśaṃ dvijāḥ

ഹേ ദേവശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, എന്റെ വാക്കിനാൽ അവനു മോക്ഷം നൽകണം. അങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ മഹേശൻ “തഥാസ്തു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ത്രിശൂലാഗ്രത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിപ്പിച്ചു. ഹേ ദ്വിജന്മാരേ, അവൻ അസ്ഥിശേഷം മാത്രം, കൃശാംഗൻ, ചാമുണ്ഡാസദൃശനായി ശേഷിച്ചു.
