ततः कदाचिदेवाथ फलार्थं निर्गता बहिः । अपश्यच्छांडिलीनाम पतिपार्श्वे व्यवस्थिताम्
tataḥ kadācidevātha phalārthaṃ nirgatā bahiḥ | apaśyacchāṃḍilīnāma patipārśve vyavasthitām
പിന്നീട് ഒരിക്കൽ ഫലങ്ങൾ തേടി അവൾ പുറത്തേക്കിറങ്ങി. അവിടെ ‘ശാണ്ഡിലീ’ എന്ന പേരുള്ള സ്ത്രീയെ തന്റെ ഭർത്താവിന്റെ അരികിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നതായി അവൾ കണ്ടു.
