सा न स्नाति न भुंक्ते च न हास्यं कुरुते क्वचित् । केवलं बाष्पपूर्णाक्षी निःश्वासाढ्या बभूव ह
sā na snāti na bhuṃkte ca na hāsyaṃ kurute kvacit | kevalaṃ bāṣpapūrṇākṣī niḥśvāsāḍhyā babhūva ha
അവൾ കുളിച്ചില്ല, ഭക്ഷിച്ചില്ല, ഒരിക്കലും ചിരിച്ചുമില്ല. കണ്ണുകൾ കണ്ണീരാൽ നിറഞ്ഞു, ദീർഘനിശ്വാസങ്ങളാൽ ഭാരിതയായി അവൾ ആയിരുന്നു.
