रेवत्युवाच । अहं शप्ता पुरा देवि ब्राह्मण्या कारणांतरे । यत्त्वं मानुषमासाद्य स्वयं भूत्वा च मानुषी
revatyuvāca | ahaṃ śaptā purā devi brāhmaṇyā kāraṇāṃtare | yattvaṃ mānuṣamāsādya svayaṃ bhūtvā ca mānuṣī
രേവതി പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ ദേവി, പണ്ടൊരിക്കൽ മറ്റൊരു കാരണത്താൽ ഒരു ബ്രാഹ്മണസ്ത്രീ എന്നെ ശപിച്ചു—നീ മനുഷ്യാവസ്ഥ പ്രാപിച്ച് സ്വയം മനുഷ്യയായി മാറുമെന്നു.”
