राम उवाच । नाहं गृहं गमिष्यामि लक्ष्मणेन विनाऽधुना । प्राणानत्र विहास्यामि यथा तेन महात्मना
rāma uvāca | nāhaṃ gṛhaṃ gamiṣyāmi lakṣmaṇena vinā'dhunā | prāṇānatra vihāsyāmi yathā tena mahātmanā
രാമൻ പറഞ്ഞു—‘ഇപ്പോൾ ലക്ഷ്മണനില്ലാതെ ഞാൻ വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോകുകയില്ല. ആ മഹാത്മാവ് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ, ഞാനും ഇവിടെ തന്നേ പ്രാണൻ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും.’
