वालुकायोऽश्मस्थला च पच्यते यत्र दुष्कृती । अवीचिर्नरको यत्र यत्र यामलपर्वतौ
vālukāyo'śmasthalā ca pacyate yatra duṣkṛtī | avīcirnarako yatra yatra yāmalaparvatau
എവിടെ കത്തുന്ന മണൽപ്പാളികളും കല്ലുറ്റ നിലങ്ങളും ഉണ്ടോ, അവിടെ ദുഷ്കൃത്യൻ ‘വേവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതുപോലെ’ യാതന അനുഭവിക്കുന്നു; എവിടെ അവീചി നരകമോ, എവിടെ യാമല എന്ന ഇരട്ട പർവതങ്ങളോ—അവ ഭയങ്കര പ്രദേശങ്ങൾ.
