पिङ्गल उवाच । यदि तुष्टोऽसि देवेश दीयते देव चेप्सितम् । चन्द्रादित्यौ च नयने कृत्वात्र कलया स्थितः
piṅgala uvāca | yadi tuṣṭo'si deveśa dīyate deva cepsitam | candrādityau ca nayane kṛtvātra kalayā sthitaḥ
പിംഗലൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദേവേശാ! നിങ്ങൾ പ്രസന്നനായാൽ എന്റെ അഭീഷ്ടം ദയവായി നല്കുക. ചന്ദ്രനും സൂര്യനും എന്റെ രണ്ടു കണ്ണുകളാക്കി സ്ഥാപിച്ച്, നിങ്ങളുടെ ദിവ്യകലകൊണ്ട് ഈ സ്ഥലത്ത് സ്ഥിരമായി വസിക്കണമേ.
