नाशयतु दुरितमखिलं भूतं भव्यं भवच्च भुवि भविनाम् । सकलपवित्रि तव सुधा पुण्यजला नर्मदा भवति

nāśayatu duritamakhilaṃ bhūtaṃ bhavyaṃ bhavacca bhuvi bhavinām | sakalapavitri tava sudhā puṇyajalā narmadā bhavati

ഭൂമിയിൽ വസിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഭൂതം, ഭാവി, വർത്തമാനം—മൂന്നു കാലങ്ങളിലും ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന സമസ്ത ദുരിതം (പാപം) അവൾ നശിപ്പിക്കട്ടെ। ഹേ സർവ്വപവിത്രിണീ! നിന്റെ അമൃതസമമായ സുദയാണ് പുണ്യജലമായി നർമദയായി മാറുന്നത്।
