Tirtha: Revā (Narmadā) Mahātmya (contextual)
Type: river
Listener: null
Scene: A narrator-sage bows (namaskṛtya) before a deity or guru-seat and begins orderly recitation of Purāṇic lore; manuscripts, rosary, and a listening assembly evoke the sanctity of utterance that grants dharma and long life.
Humility toward the teacher and reverent recitation of sacred texts are themselves dharma-producing acts that nurture a long, meaningful life.
No site is named; the verse prepares the listener for ordered Purāṇic narration that will later glorify Revā’s tīrthas.
Recitation/utterance (abhivyāharaṇa) of Purāṇic material is presented as a meritorious practice.
