उरुं गभीरं जनुषाभ्युग्रं विश्वव्यचसमवतं मतीनाम् । इन्द्रं सोमासः प्रदिवि सुतासः समुद्रं न स्रवत आ विशन्ति ॥

urúṁ gabhīráṁ januṣā́bhy ùgráṁ viśvá-vyacasam avatáṁ matīnā́m | índraṁ sómāsaḥ prá-divi sutā́saḥ samudráṁ ná sraváta ā́ viśanti ||

വിശാലവും ഗഹനവും, ജന്മംകൊണ്ടുതന്നെ ഉഗ്രനും, സർവ്വവ്യാപിയും, ചിന്തകളുടെ (മതികളുടെ) സഹായിയും ആയ ഇന്ദ്രനിലേക്കു—പ്രദിവിയിൽ പിഴിഞ്ഞ സോമധാരകൾ, ഒഴുകുന്ന ജലങ്ങൾ സമുദ്രത്തിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, പ്രവേശിക്കുന്നു.
