Sukta 10.18
उदीर्ष्व नार्यभि जीवलोकं गतासुमेतमुप शेष एहि । हस्तग्राभस्य दिधिषोस्तवेदं पत्युर्जनित्वमभि सं बभूथ ॥
ud ī́rṣva nā́ry abhi jī́valokáṃ gatā́súm etám úpa śeṣe éhi | hastagrā́bhasya didhiṣós tavédáṃ pátyur janitvám abhí sáṃ babhūtha ||
ഹേ നാരീ, എഴുന്നേൽക്കുക; ജീവലോകത്തേക്കു നീങ്ങുക. പ്രാണം വിട്ടുപോയവനെ, നിന്റെ സമീപത്തു കിടക്കുന്നവനെ വിട്ട്—ഇവിടെ വരിക. ഹസ്തഗ്രാഹം (കൈപിടിത്തവിധി) കൊണ്ടും ഗൃഹസ്ഥത്വം സ്ഥാപിക്കാനുള്ള ഇച്ഛ കൊണ്ടും—നീ വീണ്ടും പൂർണ്ണമായി ഭാര്യത്വത്തിന്റെ നിലയിലേക്കു പ്രവേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
