त्र्यशीतितमः सर्गः (Sarga 83)

अथवाविहितेनायंहन्यतेहन्तिवापरम् ।विधिरालिप्यतेतेन न स पापेनकर्मणा ।।6.83.23।।
athavā vihitena ayaṃ hanyate hanti vā param |
vidhir ālipyate tena na sa pāpena karmaṇā ||6.83.23||
അല്ലെങ്കിൽ, വിധി നിശ്ചയിച്ചതുപോലെ ഒരാൾ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയോ മറ്റൊരാളെ കൊല്ലുകയോ ചെയ്യുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ട് പാപം പുരുഷനെ ലിപ്തമാക്കുന്നില്ല—വിധി (ഭാഗ്യം) തന്നെയാണ് അതാൽ മലിനമാകുന്നത്.
