धूम्राक्षप्रेषणम्

The Dispatch of Dhūmrākṣa

निष्फलाःखलुसम्वृत्ताश्शराःवासुकितेजसः ।अदत्तंयैस्तुसङ्ग्रामेरिपूणांजीवितंमम ।।6.51.17।।

niṣphalāḥ khalu saṃvṛttāḥ śarāḥ vāsuki-tejasaḥ |

adattaṃ yais tu saṅgrāme ripūṇāṃ jīvitaṃ mama ||6.51.17||

വാസുകിയെപ്പോലെ തേജസ്സുള്ള ആ അമ്പുകൾ സത്യത്തിൽ നിഷ്ഫലമായി; യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അവയാൽ എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ജീവൻ തന്നെ അപഹരിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതായിരുന്നു.
