शरबन्धनविलापः

The Lament under the Net of Arrows

परित्यक्षाम्यहंप्राणान्वानराणांतुपश्याताम् ।यदिपञ्चत्वमापन्नस्सुमित्रानन्दवर्धनः ।।6.49.7।।

parityakṣāmy ahaṃ prāṇān vānarāṇāṃ tu paśyatām | yadi pañcatvam āpannaḥ sumitrānandavardhanaḥ ||6.49.7||

സുമിത്രയുടെ ആനന്ദവർദ്ധകനായ ലക്ഷ്മണൻ പഞ്ചത്വം പ്രാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിൽ, വാനരന്മാർ നോക്കി നിൽക്കുമ്പോഴും ഞാൻ എന്റെ പ്രാണൻ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും.
