शरबन्धनविलापः

The Lament under the Net of Arrows

उपालम्बंनशक्ष्यामिसोढुंबतसुमित्रया ।इहैवदेहंत्यक्ष्यामिनहिजीवितुमुत्सहे ।।6.49.11।।

upālambaṃ na śakṣyāmi soḍhuṃ bata sumitrayā |

ihaiva dehaṃ tyakṣyāmi na hi jīvitum utsahe || 6.49.11 ||

അയ്യോ, സുമിത്രയുടെ ഉപാലംഭം ഞാൻ സഹിക്കാനാവില്ല. ഇവിടെ തന്നേ ഈ ദേഹം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കും; കാരണം ജീവിക്കാൻ എനിക്ക് ഉത്സാഹമില്ല.
