Ravana’s Shakti Javelin and Lakshmana’s Wounding
न विषादस्यकालोऽयमितिसञ्चिन्त्यराघवः ।चक्रेसुतुमुलंयुद्धंरावणस्यवधेधृतः ।।।।सर्वयत्नेनमहतालक्ष्मणंपरिवीक्ष्य च ।
na viṣādasya kālo 'yam iti sañcintya rāghavaḥ |
cakre sutumulaṃ yuddhaṃ rāvaṇasya vadhe dhṛtaḥ ||
sarvayatnena mahatā lakṣmaṇaṃ parivīkṣya ca ||
“വിഷാദത്തിനിത് കാലമല്ല” എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ച്, രാവണവധനിശ്ചയം ധരിച്ച രാഘവൻ അത്യന്തം തുമുലമായ യുദ്ധത്തിലേക്ക് ചാടിക്കയറി; മഹാപ്രയത്നത്തോടെ ലക്ഷ്മണനെയും എല്ലായ്പ്പോഴും ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചു പരിപാലിച്ചു.
