Sanatkumara (teaching Narada the technical prayoga of protective mantras)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames mantra as a dharmic technology: destructive forces (astras/śaktis) are not met with greater violence but are ritually dissolved through precise recitation and counter-formulas.
Though technical, it implies reliance on sacred speech under guru-guidance rather than egoic power; this disciplined surrender to mantra-vidhi aligns with bhakti’s trust in higher order and divine protection.
Mantra-prayoga and correct padānta usage—knowing exactly which words to append at a mantra’s end—reflects applied Śikṣā (phonetics) and Vyākaraṇa (word-form precision) in ritual practice.
