तृतीयाद्ये तृतीयं स्याञ्चतुर्थाद्ये तुरीयकम् । तत्तदाग्नेयकोष्ठेषु तत्तत्पंचममक्षरम् ॥ ३ ॥

Transliteration

tṛtīyādye tṛtīyaṃ syāñcaturthādye turīyakam | tattadāgneyakoṣṭheṣu tattatpaṃcamamakṣaram || 3 ||

മൂന്നാമതായി ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന കൂട്ടത്തിൽ മൂന്നാമത്തെയും, നാലാമതായി ആരംഭിക്കുന്ന കൂട്ടത്തിൽ നാലാമത്തെയും എടുക്കണം; കൂടാതെ ഓരോ ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ആഗ്നേയ-കോഷ്ടത്തിലും (തെക്ക്-കിഴക്ക് ഖണ്ഡത്തിൽ) അതത് കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ അഞ്ചാം അക്ഷരം വിന്യസിക്കണം।
