चतुष्टयं चतुष्कानां स्यादेवं नृपकोष्ठके । तत्राद्यप्रथमे त्वाद्यं द्वितीयाद्ये द्वितीयकम् ॥ २ ॥

Transliteration

catuṣṭayaṃ catuṣkānāṃ syādevaṃ nṛpakoṣṭhake | tatrādyaprathame tvādyaṃ dvitīyādye dvitīyakam || 2 ||

Translation

ഇങ്ങനെ നൃപകോഷ്ടക (രാജ-പട്ടിക)ത്തിൽ നാലുകളുടെ കൂട്ടങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ഒരു ചതുഷ്ടയം രൂപപ്പെടുന്നു; അവിടെ ആദ്യസ്ഥാനത്ത് ആദ്യത്തെയും, രണ്ടാംസ്ഥാനത്ത് രണ്ടാംത്തെയും വിന്യസിക്കണം।
