भ॒सदा॑सीदादि॒त्यानां॒ श्रोणी॑ आस्तां॒ बृह॒स्पतेः॑ । पुच्छं॒ वात॑स्य दे॒वस्य॒ तेन॑ धूनो॒त्योष॑धीः

IAST Transliteration

bhasád āsīd ādityā́nāṃ śróṇī āstāṃ bṛ́haspáteḥ | púccʰaṃ vā́tasya devásya téna dhū́noty óṣadhīḥ ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

The rump was of the Ādityas; the hips were set as Bṛhaspati’s. The tail is of the god Wind: therewith he shakes and drives the plants abroad.

Translation

പൃഷ്ഠഭാഗം ആദിത്യന്മാരുടേതായിരുന്നു; നിതംബങ്ങൾ ബൃഹസ്പതിയുടേതായി സ്ഥാപിതമായി. വാൽ ദേവനായ വായുവിന്റേതാണ്; അതിനാൽ അവൻ ഔഷധികളെ കുലുക്കി ദൂരദൂരത്തേക്ക് പരത്തുന്നു.
