सवितः श्रेष्ठेन रूपेणास्या नार्या गवीन्योः । पुमांसं पुत्रमा धेहि दशमे मासि सूतवे

IAST Transliteration

savítaḥ śréṣṭhena rūpéṇāsyā́ nā́ryā gavīnyóḥ | púmāṃsaṃ putrám ā́ dhehi daśamé mā́si sūtáve ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

O Savitṛ, with thy most excellent form, within this woman—these cow-like sources of increase—implant a manly son, that in the tenth month she may bring him forth.

ഹേ സവിതൃ, നിന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ രൂപത്താൽ—ഈ സ്ത്രീയിൽ, ഈ ഗോവിന്യഃ (പശുസമാനമായ വർദ്ധനയുടെ ഉറവുകൾ)യിൽ—പുരുഷസ്വഭാവമുള്ള പുത്രനെ സ്ഥാപിക്കേണമേ; പത്താം മാസത്തിൽ അവൾ അവനെ പ്രസവിക്കട്ടെ.
