Sukta 88
बृहस्पतिः प्रथमं जायमानो महो ज्योतिषः परमे व्योऽमन्। सप्तास्यस्तुविजातो रवेण वि सप्तरश्मिरधमत् तमांसि
bृहáspátiḥ prathamáṃ jā́yamāno mahó jyótiṣaḥ paramé vyòman | saptā́syas tuvijā́to ravéṇa ví saptáraśmir adhamat támāṃsi ||
Br̥haspati, first as he was born, in the highest heaven of mighty light: seven-mouthed, of manifold birth, with his roar, seven-rayed, he blew apart the darknesses.
ബൃഹസ്പതി ആദ്യം ജനിച്ചപ്പോൾ തന്നെ മഹാപ്രകാശത്തിന്റെ പരമവ്യോമത്തിൽ പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു. ഏഴുമുഖനായും, ബഹുജന്മനായും, തന്റെ ഗർജ്ജനത്തോടെ—ഏഴുകിരണനായ്—ഇരുട്ടുകളുടെ മറകൾ പിരിച്ചെറിഞ്ഞു.
