एषोऽरुणकरस्पर्शात्स्वाभां त्यजति चंद्रमाः । निशाक्षये निरुत्साहो यथाहं विधिना कृतः
eṣo'ruṇakarasparśātsvābhāṃ tyajati caṃdramāḥ | niśākṣaye nirutsāho yathāhaṃ vidhinā kṛtaḥ
ಉಷಾಕಿರಣಗಳ ಸ್ಪರ್ಶದಿಂದ ಚಂದ್ರನು ತನ್ನದೇ ಪ್ರಭೆಯನ್ನು ತ್ಯಜಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ರಾತ್ರಿಕ್ಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನೂ ನಿರುತ್ಸಾಹನಾಗುತ್ತೇನೆ—ಇಂತೆ ವಿಧಿಯೇ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದದು.
